We welcome you in our renovated farmhouse of the XVIII century. You will be charmed by the double ensuite bedroom ' La chambre du Jardin' ( 4 pers. ) with large windows opening on to the landscaped garden and farm barns and a family ensuite bedroom ' La chambre du Bassin Aquatique' ( max 3 pers. ) The rooms are decorated in decored in countrystyle / Laura Asley style. Each bedroom has own private bathroom - separate toilet - microwave - watercooker, fridge - wifi internet - HD TV - magazins and information about the region. We provide a full local and large breakfast served in the owners' dining-room... In Summer you can take advantage of the terrace facing south, of the garden, of the pond. There are several terraces - 1 pond in the courd yard garden and 1 big pond with island and lodge outside the farm. We you are interested we give you a guided tour on the farm estate. Gastdinner ( table d'hôte ) by reservation in advance. You can say ' a home far from home '

Saint Martin Sur Ecaillon is 15 km south of Valenciennes with the beautuful Musea de beaux arts and tucked away In the heart of the Solesmes country and regional natureprk Avesnois in a lovely place outside the village of Saint-Martin-sur-Ecaillon, a cosy and peaceful nest of green is waiting for you. There area is a paradise for hiking - walking - cycling - relaxing and tasting the locale gastronomy. We are located 20 km from Le Cateau-Cambrésis with the famous museum of the French painter Matisse and the historical brewery of the abbey of Cateau. So a great place for tasting the local beers. Also we are close the city of le Quesnoy with the Vauban fortifications - the forrest of Mormal and we may not forget to give you the advice visithing the beautiful village of Maroilles world famous for his cheese. Also worthfull to visith is the town of Guise with the industrial historical site of la Familistère build by Godin and the ruines of the castle of Duc Henri the first.

    Nous avons passé un agréable moment auprès de Sandrine, José-Pierre, Raphaël et Jean. Même si le temps n'était pas au rendez-vous, La Rose Laitière reste un endroit merveilleux, très reposant, et très beau, nous avons hâtes d'y retourner. La visite de la ferme est très instructive et le petit déjeuner est excellent, la chambre du bassin aquatique est grande, très accueillante, décorée avec goût, plein de petites attentions... Nous conseillons La Rose laitière à tous ceux qui désirent se reposer, et à ceux qui veulent se déconnecter de la Ville! Merci beaucoup et à bientôt Cécile et Nicolas

    We hebben mogen genieten van de splinter nieuwe suite" prachtig ingericht " boven de inrijpoort van de hoeve.De warme ontvangst van Sandrine en haar man was zeer hartelijk !! S'avonds eten aan de grote tafel was een aangename verrassing, super lekker en gezond " ambachtelijke streekprodukten van de hoeve "

    Aangezien we zelf een B&B hebben zijn we kritische in punten geven,toch is het een 10 waard de uitbaters doen het met hart en ziel !

    Situation : en pleine campagne, dans une grande ferme en activité (vaches, poules, cochons).

    Chambre : spacieuse et bien décoré, très propre et accueillante, salle de bain neuve, lits confortables.

    Repas du soir : cuisine très locale et faite maison, on mange vraiment avec la famille. Dîner bon, servi avec apéritif maison, vin ou bière.

    Petit déjeuner : idem, confitures maisons, crêpes, pain, fromage frais maison, ...

    On a été reçu très cordialement et avec bonne humeur, ce fut un moment agréable.

    We hebben verbleven in de schitterende romantische en historische bed & breakfast La Rose Laitiere. Het is een verblijf om U tegen te zeggen. Vriendelijk onthaal, mooie ensuite kamer, schitterende omgeving voor te wandelen , fietsen ,cultuur en tot rust te komen.
    's Avonds lekkere table d'hôte dinners met verse regionale producten welke we genoten tesamen met de gastgevers
    Een streek in Frankrijk gelukkig nog niet plat gelopen door het massa toerisme en waar men het autentieke nog terug vindt.
    Sandrine & Jose jullie zijn fantische gastgevers en tot een volgende keer.

    We hebben 3 nachten ( 19.02 tot 22.02 ) in La Rose Laitiere verbleven, nader bepaald in de tuinsuite en kunnen alleen maar possitieve beoordelingen geven.
    Goed onthaal - prachtig romantisch ingerichte ensuite kamer - lekker ontbijt - schitterende omgeving - table d'hôte met regionale produkten.
    Het is een schitterende omgeving om tot rust te komen, te wandelen, met veel aangeduide wandelroutes en kaarten zijn bij de hosts beschikbaar.
    Met de gastvrouw Sandrine een geleid bezoek aan gedaan op maandag aan het historisch mijncentrum Lewarde en Douai.
    Bedankt Sandrine & Jose voor de gastvrijheid die jullie bieden.
    We komen zeker terug.
