We welcome you in our renovated farmhouse of the XVIII century. You will be charmed by the double ensuite bedroom ' La chambre du Jardin' ( 4 pers. ) with large windows opening on to the landscaped garden and farm barns and a family ensuite bedroom ' La chambre du Bassin Aquatique' ( max 3 pers. ) The rooms are decorated in decored in countrystyle / Laura Asley style. Each bedroom has own private bathroom - separate toilet - microwave - watercooker, fridge - wifi internet - HD TV - magazins and information about the region. We provide a full local and large breakfast served in the owners' dining-room... In Summer you can take advantage of the terrace facing south, of the garden, of the pond. There are several terraces - 1 pond in the courd yard garden and 1 big pond with island and lodge outside the farm. We you are interested we give you a guided tour on the farm estate. Gastdinner ( table d'hôte ) by reservation in advance. You can say ' a home far from home '

Saint Martin Sur Ecaillon is 15 km south of Valenciennes with the beautuful Musea de beaux arts and tucked away In the heart of the Solesmes country and regional natureprk Avesnois in a lovely place outside the village of Saint-Martin-sur-Ecaillon, a cosy and peaceful nest of green is waiting for you. There area is a paradise for hiking - walking - cycling - relaxing and tasting the locale gastronomy. We are located 20 km from Le Cateau-Cambrésis with the famous museum of the French painter Matisse and the historical brewery of the abbey of Cateau. So a great place for tasting the local beers. Also we are close the city of le Quesnoy with the Vauban fortifications - the forrest of Mormal and we may not forget to give you the advice visithing the beautiful village of Maroilles world famous for his cheese. Also worthfull to visith is the town of Guise with the industrial historical site of la Familistère build by Godin and the ruines of the castle of Duc Henri the first.

    We hebben verbleven in La Rose Laitiere en kunnen alleen maar zeggen " TOP klasse " op elk gebied.
    Romantisch ingerichte kamers - gastvrij onthaal door de hosts Sandrine en Jose - een zeer lekker table d'hôte dinner met aangepaste dranken en een schitterende omgeving om tot rust te komen. En deze morgen wakker geworden in een sprookjesachtig wit ongesneeuwd landschap. Dit zal zeker niet de laatste keer zijn dat we in de schitterrend verblijf zullen verblijven. Alvast prettige feestdagen toegewenst aan de gastvrouw en gastheer en tot volgend jaar.

    Nous venons de séjourner 2 nuits dans ce petit coin de paradis, mes enfants et moi et nous sommes ravis.L'accueil de Sandrine, son mari et leur famille est irréprochable, leur gentillesse et leur sympathie nous ont de suite mis à l'aise.Les lieux sont d'une propreté exemplaire, c'est un vrai nid douillet.Mes enfants on...t pu participer aux activités de la ferme, quelle joie d'aller avec José-Pierre chercher les vaches dans le pré le soir et nourrir les petits veaux et les porcelets, ramasser les oeufs dans le poulailler, observer les poulets à l'air libre,
    avoir la compagnie des chiennes de la maison (de vrais amours) pendant nos ballades aux bord de l'étang ,les prés, petits chemins .Apprécier le bon air pur de la campagne, observer les champs de blé, betteraves, .......Mais aussi sans oublier la convivialité à table le soir, en dégustant les délicieux repas de Sandrine préparés avec les produits de la ferme, le petit-déjeuner plus que copieux le matin.......

    Mes enfants sont rentrés pleins de souvenirs ,de la tristesse lors du retour mais la joie de revenir prochainement.Je recommande vivement cet endroit à tous les amoureux de la nature.

    Een verblijf om " U " tegen te zeggen - zijn zelf kritisch inzake gastenverblijven, daar we zelf een charme verblijf hebben in het Vlaamse Meetjesland. Maar dit is een topverblijf - schitterende ligging - perfect onthaal - charmevolle kamers en 100 % rust - lekker hoeve ontbijt en de table d'hôte met lokale specialiteiten en hoeve producten die een goed restaurant kan evenaren.
    Sandrine en José bedankt voor de gastvrijheid en jullie horen tot onze top 5 in Frankrijk.

    Chambre d'hôte, le hôtes et table d'hôte 4****+ pour nous. Mérite une détour comme on dit dans les guide Michelin.

    Bed & breakfast and dinner superrrrrrrr a 4****+ , a place to be in love.
