De Oude School – Lampernisse - Diksmuide
In 1990, the small school was tastefully restored and remodelled, with a lot of respect for its story, to a comfortable holiday dwelling. The restoration was done with one eye on design but had a main interest in preserving the 'soul' of this historic building.
It contains a living space with couches and seats plus a completely equipped kitchen. There are 3 sleeping areas with 2 double beds, a bunk bed, and several loose sleep couches.
The bathroom consists of sink, toilet and shower. There is a play space with table tennis, shuffleboard table, and many parlour games, on top of that a well stacked bookcase. The original blackboard is also still in place. The completely walled play ground serves little ones with safety and grown ups with privacy. It goes without saying that a barbecue and garden furniture are available.
Under the lean-to hangs a swing set.
Several bicycles and a tandem are also free to be used.
